FitCrush ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Health & Fitness Data (via Apple HealthKit):
- Step count (daily and 7-day average)
- Sleep analysis data (duration over the last 3 days)
- Active energy burned
- Workout activity records
This data is used exclusively to personalize your daily challenges and verify task completion. It is never used for advertising, marketing, or shared with third parties.
Data You Provide:
- Onboarding responses (fitness goal, activity level, schedule, body stats)
- Daily stress check-in (emoji tap)
- Task completion feedback (too easy / just right / too hard)
- Display name (optional, for leaderboard)
How We Use Your Data
- Task Personalization: Your fitness level, goals, and HealthKit data determine which challenge you receive each day.
- Progression Tracking: Completion history, streaks, and XP are stored to track your journey.
- Leaderboard: If you opt in, your display name, weekly XP, and level are shared via Apple CloudKit for the social leaderboard.
Data Storage
- On-Device: All personal data (profile, task history, scores) is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults.
- Apple CloudKit: Leaderboard data (display name, XP, level, friend code) is stored in Apple's CloudKit service, tied to your iCloud account.
- No External Servers: We do not operate our own servers. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on any third-party infrastructure.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your real name, email, phone number, or address.
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not serve advertisements.
- We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.
Apple HealthKit Compliance
In accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines:
- Health data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
- Health data is never shared with third parties.
- Health data is never sold to data brokers or information resellers.
- You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access.
Your Rights
- Delete your data: Uninstalling the app removes all local data. iCloud leaderboard data can be managed through your iCloud settings.
- Revoke permissions: HealthKit and CloudKit access can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.
- No account required: The app works without creating an account or providing personal information.
Children's Privacy
FitCrush does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and does not require any personal information to use.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
